Amber Saberton

Principal

Bio

Before joining Aspire, Amber began her career in Stockton Unified School District as a 1st grade and 5th grade teacher. She came to Aspire in 2011 as a founding 5th grade teacher at Aspire College Academy. Amber joined Aspire Monarch Academy in 2012 as a 5th grade lead teacher and later became Dean of Students. As Dean, Amber created systems for discipline and school culture with a focus on Trauma Informed and Restorative Practices, which drastically decreased Monarch’s suspension rates and increased time that scholars were engaged in safe learning spaces. She then became Assistant Principal and Lead Assistant Principal for Elementary Schools in the Bay Area.

During her time at Monarch, Amber has worked passionately to ensure that all scholars receive a high quality, rigorous education while feeling safe and learning tools for emotional regulation and advocacy. Amber cares deeply about the Monarch community and knows that together, they have the ability to meet and surpass their goals. She is excited to engage families and staff in the school-wide priorities and initiatives.
